Becoming an Emerald Ambassador is a big deal! It means you could have a minimum of 300 active Ambassadors in your first 3 levels (1,500 points), though it's more likely you will have 600-1,000+ scattered throughout seven levels.
A Sapphire Ambassador has 3,000 points, and a Diamond Ambassador has 4,500 points.
Obviously, if you have led a team to this point, you are working hard - educating, supporting, cheering on, challenging - just like a franchise owner would do. And it is typical for a franchise owner (of a certain fast food place) to net $100,000 a year. Plexus set things up similarly - the average Emerald earns about $100,000 a year.
Here are some tips from someone who has worked to reach the top, Tara Castaneda.
- Have daily intensity.
- Going Gold, you can do on your own.
- Going Emerald, you must have clear focus on your team. You must help your team reach their goals. You are more of a motivator and must be "others-minded." Set up office hours. Be there for your team. Read The Five Levels of Leadership.
- Your training must be duplicating at this point. Lock arms with your team. Develop your leaders to be in charge of their team.
- Go wide with this business. You must be personally adding to your team regularly. You need to have a minimum of 2 senior gold legs. You can’t just ride the coat tails of leaders under you.
- Make specific goals, such as “I will develop this many people in this amount of time.”
- Know when to give incentives. Some people want it to happen organically, on its own. You may need to do a contest to get there. Find out what your team loves, like gift cards or health equipment. Make sure your team understands the compensation structure.
- By the time you reach Ruby or Senior Ruby, you have to treat this like a business. You need to know what the numbers mean, and need to be helping your team understand what the numbers mean.
